Metcon (No Measure)

PREPARE

Warm-Up:

Play thruster ball with snow balls or dodgeballs

Focus:

Monkey swings and monkey taps – practice; try 1 swing, 1 pull-up

Get Ready:

1:00-2:00 bottom of the squat

1:00 child’s pose

MOVEMENT PRACTICE

Conditioning:

2x-3x

1:00 intervals

Squats facing box with toes touching the box

Box hurdles

3 push presses => 10-meter carry, 5#-10#

PLAY:

Game:

Telephone – Place one cone for each child 2-3 meters apart in a circle. Each child stands behind a cone. Trainer whispers two items plus two exercises to the first child, for example, a red sled, a push-up, a slow blocked squat, and a blue cap. That child’s whispers the list to the next child, and so on, until the last child in the circle whispers the list back to the trainer. Trainer will repeat out loud, and as a group everyone will do 5 push-ups and blocked squats OR whatever exercises have been repeated to the last child in the circle.
