PRACTICE
Movement Practice –
Focus:
Demonstrate and have kids practice “rock-up, get-up” (from their backs, they curl forward to standing) without using their hands-into blocked squat position.
PLAY
Work-Play:
Create an obstacle course that includes crawling under or over objects, navigating a wall (gymnastic mat or boxes), zigzagging around cones or boxes, and jumping over and onto various elevated objects like stacked plates. Ask the kids to go through the course and experiment with different versions each time they go through.
